Arts for India First Year Objectives :

"Art is a universal language where visual expression evokes raw emotions and is thus an effective medium of conveying the very important message of peace and harmony. Indeed, powerful images of paintings can leave an everlasting impact on people' minds. Unlike words which are spoken, heard and sometimes forgotten, art on canvas stays forever and so does the message it conveys". Satish K Modi

IIFA will be mentored by the University of the Arts London (UAL) through 2011/12 by two Arts for India supported bursaries which will see exemplary students from UAL finish their studies at IIFA. These students will play an important role in raising teaching standards at IIFA whilst mentoring students who are part of the Arts for India created Adopt an Artist programme.

The University of the Arts London is one of the world's leading art universities, which allows students to discover an extraordinary network of human, technical and scholarly resources. The emphasis on internationalism is reflected in a student community that is a richly diverse multicultural mix of students from all around the world.

Similarly, The Prince's Drawing School, an educational organisation founded in 2000 by HRH The Prince of Wales and one of only a few institutions in the world offering in-depth, quality tuition for those who wish to develop their observational drawing skills, will continue to send students and teaching staff to IIFA and so be inspired and influenced by traditional teaching methods and techniques enhancing and enriching their work when they return to London.
