ARTS FOR INDIA - USA

April 26th New York City saw the launch of Arts for India USA.

We have brought Arts for India to the United States so that we can build cultural and educational bridges between India and the US, support struggling future Indian artists and increase understanding and exposure of the Indian art market.

On the evening of April 26th at a gala launch dinner in New York City we introduced the US to Arts for India, particularly our long-term ambition the Universe of Art project and explained our collaboration with the conservation charity Elephant Family and how the Jungle City New York 2013 campaign will work.

A fashion show, Majestic Wild, created especially for the evening by international fashion designer Bina Modi captivated the audience of leading art connoisseurs, collectors and philanthropists.

On the evening our Guest of Honor was actress Goldie Hawn who has spent many years using her art form to promote elephant conservation and who is a Patron of our partner charity Elephant Family. She was presented with the Dayawati Modi Award for Art, Culture and Education in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the arts, education and conservation. The 2011 winner of the award was HH The Dalai Lama.

We are also auctioning a number of pieces of art to raise funds for Arts for India. Oriano Galloni, world leading sculptor has specially designed and created 30 beautiful marble and wood sculptures entitled Silent Souls and you are able to purchase them via our Paddle 8 gallery.
