Shivani Nirwan – Sponsor – Mr. Edward Fitymaurice

She learnt about the Arts for India’s Four Year Full Fee Scholarship Programme and qualified the Aptitude Test at IIFA.  She was admitted to the 2012 academic session.

Shivani, the daughter of a shop keeper, was very creative since her childhood.  While struggling through extreme poverty, Shivani always exhibited an energetic involvement in drawing, singing, dancing and yet never shirked work at home to help her mother.

Gradually, drawing became her passion & identification.

Shivani aspired to study for a professional art & design degree but her     father could not have supported the costs of study. She felt very depressed as she could not find any means to realize her aspirations of becoming a fashion designer.

Then she learnt about the Arts for India’s Four Year Full Fee Scholarship Programme and qualified the Aptitude Test at IIFA.  She was admitted to the 2012 academic session.

At the Institute, Shivani was a devoted student and exhibited a desired to learn and absorb the class room teachings.  She graduated in 2016. She was then supported by IIFA in finding a placement at “Crazy Mod Exports” as a Fashion Merchandiser.  This is a great achievement for Shivani.  AFI has really changed her life.
