UNIVERSE OF ART

Building upon the foundation of the existing International Institute of Fine Arts (IIFA), Arts for India, is working towards creating the Universe of Art to be built on 100 acres of land near Modinagar, NCR Delhi, an area that is already emerging as an important education and cultural hub of the country.

The Universe of Art is a unique art, culture and education project, that will see the construction of the first private fine arts university in India together with a leading performing arts centre and an internationally recognised museum.

Arts of India What We Do

Arts For India (AFI) was launched in London, in 2010. Thanks to donations, it sponsors students at IIFA (International Institute of Fine Arts), based in Modinagar, India, and helps develop the institute.

These talented young adults can gain a qualification in art and be guided and supported into a successful career, therefore earning a very stable wage. This then causes a ripple effect leading to a better future for the whole family from generation to generation.

A bit about IIFA:
The Institute was founded in 2000 by Satish and Abha Modi and is one of India’s leading institutes, offering courses in a wide spectrum of visual arts, as well as degree courses in Art, Fashion and Cinema.

Their goal is to support young artists, motivate them by sparking their imagination and engage them in the field of art and design.

Their vision is to promote Indian culture & art and provide quality education in accordance with global standards.

All their efforts throughout the years have led to the creation of a nurturing atmosphere at IIFA. Today, IIFA is affiliated with Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut’s 4-year B.F.A. course, offers diplomas in Photography, an Advanced Diploma in Computer Graphics and 3D Animation, and has more than 400 students studying degree courses in:

In addition, the new Film and Television Institute as well as the upcoming Media department further widen the creative canvas of IIFA. Finally, besides permanent faculty, they have visiting British teachers that provide a pioneering and motivating educative experience to our students.

Fundraising Model:
Since July 2000 and onwards, Arts For India (AFI) has been focusing on drawing an international audience to recognise Indian artists. Arts For India raises its profile with the organisation of events in London. We organise an event on the occasion of Diwali and we often organise charity auctions to raise funds and sponsor more students.
҉
We also initiate a number of events happening in London, in June, with Indian Art Week, which is a good way to spread the word about what we do, celebrate Indian Art, and find new potential donors.

In 2015, we are launching a new donation scheme that allows people who want to get involved to donate £5 a month.

Arts of India The Key Objectives

Arts For India has five key objectives:

bullet-1   To educate talented Indian artists in dire straits that deserve a chance, via our International Scholarship Programme scheme.
bullet-1   To support IIFA’s vision to promote Indian culture & art and provide quality education in accordance with global standards, making IIFA the first university of fine arts in India, on a new campus (175 acres) with an International Museum, Arts Centre, and public art exhibition in Delhi (Jungle City).
bullet-1   To promote IIFA’s educational partnerships with the University of Arts (London), and the Prince’s Drawing School, as a means to work hand-in-hand to fulfil IIFA’s vision.
bullet-1   To support all the students at the institute by by providing better art material and fabric to give the students a better chance to explore their creativity.
bullet-1   To help in the construction of an International Department at IIFA for international students to study, practice, and learn at.

Arts of India Our Vision

Our goal is to sponsor as many students as possible and give young Indian people the chance to study and build a better future for themselves.
By giving them the opportunity to study, they, especially women, can escape arranged marriages. With education, they are then able to make informed choices in their lives and have a much better chance and brighter future.
Also, by raising Indian Arts profile in the West and in India, we hope to educate more people about Indian Art. The idea is to create the future artists, but also have interested people to work with them and collect their art.
҉
We can help the growth of Indian arts only by providing the artist an opportunity, where they can make ends meet.
IIFA and AFI are contributing to help these talented and young artists to get global recognition
